The judge of the National Hearing Eloy Velasco accused this Monday the Government of Venezuela of collaborating with the terrorists of ETA and the FARC, in a procesamineto car against several members of ETA and narco-terrorists for collaborating to commit an outrage against high Colombian charges in Spain.

The misunderstandings with Caracas for ETA
The car in which the judge of the National Hearing Eloy Velasco affirms that there are indications of the "cooperation" of the Government of Venezuela with the alliance formed by ETA and the FARC has muddied the relations again between Spain and this country, where they reside for years tens of members of the terrorist band.
Already in April, 1996 Venezuela recognized the arrival, between 1984 and 1990, of approximately 25 members of ETA proceeding from Algeria, France and Panama like result of the agreements signed with the Governments of these countries. Six extradited ones in two decades
The extradition agreement between two countries came into force on September 30, 1990 and, since then, there have come to Spain expelled from Venezuela six supposed members of ETA, the last one of them José Ramón Foruria Zubialdea, Foru, on September 25, 2003.
Spain requested for the first time to Venezuela the delivery of a member of ETA in 1996, when he asked formally for the extradition of Eugenio Barrutiabengoa and Miguel Ángel Aldana Barrena, which they had come to the South American country like “watched guests”.
The extradition requests have provoked since then differences between Madrid and Caracas, since the Venezuelan Justice has refused several throughout last years.
The most important incident took place in 2006, when the support group announced to the prisoners of ETA Askatasuna that the Venezuelan Government had been compromised with the members of ETA by Lorenzo Ayestarán - arrested this Sunday in France - Ángel Aldana, Jesus Urteaga and Eugenio Barrutiabengoa “to facilitate the steps” to grant the nationality to them, what would allow them to avoid his extradition.
The agreement Etxaniz and Juan Víctor Galarza was including the indemnifications payment to another two-Sebastián - who had been expelled to Spain in 2002, but shortly after the Venezuelan Government became public he announced that it had left without effect the commitment.

The last episode related to the presence of ETA in Venezuela took place immediately after the detention in this country on April 25 of last year of the supposed member of ETA Iñaki Echeverría Landazabal, accused of the attempt of murder in 1981 in Bilbao of the journalist Gerardo Huezo.
On August 5, 2009, the Venezuelan Supreme Court pushed back to extradite him to Spain on having considered prescribed the crime that was imputed to him.
